TokuNet Comics Corner: Kaijumax and Monstress Nominated for Eisner Awards

Two of our favorites here at the TokuNet Comics Corner were just nominated for comics‘ top honor.

The Will Eisner Comic Industry Awards are meant to celebrate outstanding and distinguished achievements in the realm of comics and graphic novels. The ceremony is held every year during San Diego Comic-Con.

This year, two of the comics we cover in the Comics Corner, Marjorie Liu and Sana Takeda’s Monstress and by Zander Cannon’s Kaijumax, are in the running to win Best New Series. Marjorie Liu is also nominated for Best Writer.

Voting is open to comic industry professionals and we’ll know the winners on Friday, July 22. In the meantime, check out the interview we did with Zander Cannon about his Eisner-nominated book here.
