Mitsuru Matsuoka To Play Kamen Rider #4
Mitsuru Matsuoka, who previously portrayed Eternal/Katsumi Daidou in Kamen Rider W Forever, has been announced as the voice of Kamen Rider #4 in the upcoming Net Movie series.
Known as the Lead Vocalist of the band SOPHIA, Mitsuru Matsuoka previously portrayed Katsumi Daidou (AKA Kamen Rider Eternal) the main antagonist in the movie Kamen Rider W: A to Z Gaia Memories of Fate. He returned shortly after to portray the same character in the movie Kamen Rider W Returns: Kamen Rider Eternal which featured the backstory of Daidou and the group, NEVER. Recently, he performed the main theme for Kamen Rider Drive, “SURPRISE-DRIVE”.
In addition to playing Kamen Rider #4 in the upcoming Net Movie series, dVideo Special – Kamen Rider #4, Mitsuru Matsuoka will also provide the theme song. Titled “[time]”, the single will be released on April 22, 2015. The CD and DVD combo is 1,800 yen and the CD only is 1,000 yen.
Kamen Rider #4 will look like a pilot who operates an aircraft. Regarding the birth of the character, Shinichiro Shirakura, the film’s producer, said that he was really happy to introduce another new Kamen Rider just like #3. “I wanted to create a Net Movie with quality equal to a television broadcast and movie,” he added. “We may also have new Kamen Riders, such as #5 and #6, that will appear outside of television and movie formats.”
The first two episodes of dVideo Special – Kamen Rider #4 will be made available on March 28, 2015, with the last episode airing on April 4, 2015. A DVD with Episode 1 will be available to the first 1,000,000 attendees of Super Hero Taisen GP.
Super Hero Taisen GP: Kamen Rider #3 will premiere in Japan on March 21st.
