Masahiro Inoue to Appear in New Garo: Goldstorm Soar Series

Kamen Rider Decade actor, Masahiro Inoue, will be among other veteran tokusatsu actors set to play new characters in the upcoming installment of the Garo series. 

Garo: Goldstorm Soar is the title for both an upcoming movie and subsequent television series in the Garo franchise. The movie will serve as a prequel to the series and follows the character, Ryūga Dōgai, the protagonist from Garo: The One Who Shines in the Darkness, as he goes to Line City in order to meet the Mahou Priestess, Ryume, and cleanse the Garo armor. Ryume will be played by Sakina Kuwae, who portrayed Natsume Masaki in Juken Sentai Gekiranger.

Other new characters featured in the movie include the mysterious D-Ringo, played by Shigeru Izumiya, who runs a kebab truck; his partner, Yukihime, played by Momoko Hirose who previously played Eiris in Garo: Makai Flower (Makai no Hana); and Akira Emoto who will play a priest helping the movie’s antagonist, Agou.

Agou, as mentioned in a previous post, is a humanoid Madou Tool created by a Makai Priest in the ancient times, who dreamt of creating a world without Horrors.

Masahiro Inoue, who previously portrayed Kamen Rider Decade, will be a new character in the TV Series called Jinga, who is rather hostile towards Ryūga. Jinga’s partner, Amiri, will be played Miyavi Matsunoi, who previously played the Horror Karma in Garo: Red Requiem. Other cast members include, Hiroki Nakajima playing a Makai Priest called Garudo and Tomohito Wakizaki, who previously portrayed Agent Kei from Ultra Seven X, will play a new Makai Knight by the name of Daigo Akizuki.
