Heisei Wins the “Heisei Riders Vs. Showa Riders: Kamen Rider Wars” Movie Ending Poll
Yesterday, Heisei Riders vs. Showa Riders: Kamen Rider Wars feat. Super Sentai opened in theatres across Japan and the voting polls to decide the victor and ending to the movie have been counted. The final polls were very close, but ultimately, the winner of the Rider War is – the Heisei Riders.
The movie celebrates the 15th anniversary since the beginning of the Heisei Rider era and pits the Riders from Kamen Rider 1 to J against the Riders from Kuuga to Gaim. The movie brings back a number of previous Rider actors, including Hiroshi Fujioka (Kamen Rider 1).
Originally starting as an online poll, the initial figures would drastically shift between the teams from one day to the next. Toei then opened up polling booths in the theatres themselves, only tallying up the numbers when online voting had closed. Today, a press conference was held to present the winning results of the worldwide poll. Winning by a mere 760 votes, the Heisei Riders came out on top with 1,387,041votes while the Showa Riders received 1,386,281 votes.
