The March 2014 edition of Hyper Hobby magazine offers new details regarding characters and story elements for the forthcoming Ressha Sentai ToQger.

Pertaining to the team themselves, they all have no memory of their lives aside from their childhood. Furthermore, they are unaware of how or why they have their abilities. The Conductor, however, may hold the secrets of their past. Regarding the crew, Wagon is said to have a sexy personality, and the Conductor’s puppet, Ticket, will be more sharp-tongued than one would think from his cute appearance.

The enemies for the ToQger team are the Shadow Line, operating from Castle Terminal. Using people’s tears, screams, and their very lives, they create Stations to expand their Dark Railway. By doing this, they are creating a path for the mysterious Emperor of Darkness who will engulf the world. Even worse, General Schwartz plans on stealing the Rainbow Line from our heroes to create a Shadow Train army. Lady Gritta, in spite of Lady Noir’s wishes, supports him from the sidelines.

To move the plan forward, the Shadow Line’s Shadow Monsters make humans suffer to expand their darkness. Episode–or rather, Station 1 will see Bag Shadow kidnapping children to collect their screams while Station 2’s Sabre Shadow creates a city where people duel to the death. But when a Shadow Monster is destroyed, their dark energy goes berserk, enlarging them to gigantic size.

And lastly, regarding the team’s arsenal: The team’s Rainbow Passes, kept inside their bucklers, can be used as both a smartphone and an electronic wallet. And during combat, the Shield Ressha attaches to ToQ-Oh’s left arm to form the Signal Shield.

Alright, I knew the episodes will be called Stations! 😀

“But when a Shadow Monster is destroyed, their dark energy goes berserk, enlarging them to gigantic size.” – It’s much like the Gedoushu’s two lives in Shinkenger. But hey, at least the giant battles will make sense. 😉
