Hiroaki Iwanaga To Join Junretsu

Junretsu has announced that Hiroaki Iwanaga will join the vocal group Junretsu, comprised of many past tokusatsu actors, starting in 2023.

Junretsu is a vocal group that was formed in 2007. Three of its four original members have acted in tokusatsu shows in the past:

• Kazuyoshi Sakai as Sotaro Ushigome in Hyakuju Sentai Gaoranger
• Yujiro Shirakawa as Ikkou Kasumi in Ninpu Sentai Hurricaneger
• Ryohei Oda as Kitaoka Shuichi in Kamen Rider Ryuki

The band are stars of their own tokusatsu movies, Super Battle Junretsuger and its sequel Super Battle Junretsuger: No More Reheating.

The official Junretsu website has announced that in 2023, the band will gain an additional member: Hiroaki Iwanaga, who played Akira Date in Kamen Rider OOO. He also played Rei in Doubutsu Sentai Zyuohger and Shu Karasuma in Space Sheriff Gavan: The Movie.

Iwanaga will greet fans at two Junretsu concerts this year: at LINE CUBE SHIBUYA (Tokyo) on September 14th, and Sankei Hall Breeze (Osaka) on November 9th and 10th.
