Godzilla Fest 2021 Streaming on YouTube November 3

The 5th annual Japanese Godzilla Fest is being held online via YouTube on November 3rd.

Following previous years’ celebration. The Godzilla Fest returns for its 5th year in a row. This time, Toho is celebrating the 67th anniversary of the Godzilla franchise, alongside the 50th anniversary of Godzilla vs. Hedorah and the 60th anniversary of the original Mothra.

The 2021 Godzilla Fest will span 7 hours. Hosted by Shinsuke Kasai, the event will feature interviews with the writer and director of Godzilla: Singular Point and an interview with Godzilla vs. Kong director Adam Wingard. The event will also feature discussions on the history of Mothra and the recent 4K remaster of the film. The festival will also feature various new merchandise announcements during Godzilla Store TV segments

Finally, the event will conclude with a brand new short film by director Kazuhiro Nakagawa (Ultraman Z) titled Godzilla vs Hedorah. A follow-up to Nakagawa’s previous short film Godzilla Appears at Godzilla Fest. The short was filmed at Toho Studios in September, using the Godzilla and Hedorah suit from 2004’s Godzilla: Final Wars.
