Ultraman’s Masanari Nihei Passes Away

Masanari Nihei, best known for portraying Mitsuhiro Ide in Ultraman, passed away on August 21.

On August 21, tokusatsu actor Masanari Nihei passed away at the age of 80. He was best known for playing Mitsuhiro Ide in the original Ultraman, and also played a role in 1961’s Mothra as well as several other Ultraman shows. His passing was due to aspiration pneumonia.
