This Week in Tokusatsu Merchandise 7/19/21 – 7/23/21

The tokusatsu merchandise roundup for the second to last week of July 2021 features an exclusive Kakuranger necklace as well as new Kamen Rider watches.

The Showa Kamen Rider Chronograph Watch [Live Action Watch] is part of a casual line of the “Live Action Watch” series of tokusatsu watches. It is a chronograph watch designed in the motif of the transformation belts of the first Kamen Rider 1, Kamen Rider X, and Kamen Rider Stronger. When using the chronograph function, the 1/10 second chronograph hand at 12 o’clock starts to move and the belt motif spins around. It has a unique design with a belt motif on the face that has a strong presence.

The watch body measures 43 mm (W) x 50 mm (H) with the band width measuring 22 mm and the band size measuring approx. 13.5 cm – 21.0 cm. The case, band, crown, and back cover are made of stainless steel. The hands and dial are made of brass. The wind shield is made of mineral glass and the machine used is the TIME MODULE VD57LLA (Japanese quartz). It is water resistance 10 ATM.

Next in the line is the Kamen Rider 1 Transformation Belt Type Watch. The windmill turns! The adult watch designed in the image of Kamen Rider 1’s transformation belt is here! It is a wristwatch with the motif of the transformation belt “Typhoon” of Kamen Rider 1, the first Kamen Rider. The watch is equipped with a gimmick that allows the disc in the watch to rotate when the watch is tilted, recreating the transformation scene of Kamen Rider 1. It is not motorized. The large case that resembles a Rider belt has a strong presence and is very unique!

The band made of cowhide leather is a bangle type with studs reminiscent of a transformation belt, making it a very special design. There are two types available: a red belt with the image of the new Kamen Rider 1 and a white belt with the image of the old Kamen Rider 1. The watch body measures 55 mm x 37 mm. The band size measures 98 mm x 44 mm. The band width measures 18 mm. The case, crown, back, and buckle are made of stainless steel. The dial and hands are made of brass. The belt is made of cowhide leather (with synthetic leather lining). The machine used is the MIYOTA203A (Made in Japan).

The Kamen Rider Kuuga Chronograph Red/Gold Watch celebrates Kamen Rider Kuuga’s 20th Anniversary and his Rising Mighty form. It is designed in the image of Kuuga’s Rising Mighty form, with a red and gold color scheme. The outside of the dial is decorated with gold that resembles the back of Kuuga’s hand. The black color in the center of the dial completes the look and gives it a luxurious feel. The indexes on the dial are in lint to represent the world of the TV series. A red stone at 12 o’clock represents the “O” signal and a yellow stone at 6 o’clock represents the Arcle. The chronograph seconds counter (at 6 o’clock) is engraved with Linto script for time. The leather band is made in Japan by the craftsmen of “Leather Studio Parley”. The leather is carefully hand-polished one by one, and you can enjoy the beautiful gradation that appears as you use it.

The Kamen Rider Zero-One Chronograph Watch is a chronograph watch from the Kamen Rider Zero-One TV series. This black watch is inspired by the image of Zero-One’s Rising Hopper form. The design is based on black with the color yellow of Zero-One. In the center of the dial is a series of “01’s” reminiscent of the effects of a nave, and on the sides are the silver and red lines of the body. The chronograph seconds counter (at 6 o’clock) is designed with an image of the Hiden Zero-One Driver. This is a watch that expresses the world view of Kamen Rider Zero-One while also being practical.

The case, back cover, crown, and band are made of stainless steel. The dial and hands are made of brass. The wind shield is made of mineral glass and the machine used is the TMI VD53 (Japanese quartz). The watch body measures 40 mm (W) x 47 mm (H) x 12 mm (H). The band width measures 20 mm and the size around the arm measures approx. 13.5 cm – 19.0 cm. It is 10 ATM water resistance. “Super Henge, Doron Changer!” The Ninja Sentai Kakuranger Doron Changer motif necklace is a necklace featuring the Kakuranger’s henshin device, the Doron Changer. Both the pendant top and the necklace are made with a particular color scheme. It is a product that is full of nostalgia, so it is recommended for all Super Sentai fans. The pendant measures a height of approx. 23 mm x width of approx. 16 mm x thickness of approx. 3 mm while the necklace part measures a total length of about 50 cm (including adjuster measuring about 5 cm).
