Super Hero Senki Collaborates with Popular Variety Show
On July 13, the popular variety show “Hayashi Osamu no Ima Desho! Koza” will hold a special collaboration program for the upcoming movie Super Hero Senki.
On July 13, the popular variety show “Hayashi Osamu no Ima Desho! Koza” will hold a special collaboration program celebrating Kamen Rider and Super Sentai‘s double anniversaries and their upcoming anniversary movie Super Hero Senki.
On Osamu Hayashi’s program, several lead actors across Kamen Rider’s long history will make guest appearances including:
- Syuichiro Naito (Touma Kamiyama / Kamen Rider Saber, 2020-2021),
- Hiroki Iijima (Emu Hojo / Kamen Rider Ex-Aid, 2016-2017),
- Takayuki Tsubaki (Kazuma Kenzaki / Kamen Rider Blade, 2004-2005),
- Hiroshi Miyauchi (Shiro Kazami / Kamen Rider V3, 1973-1974)*, and
- Hiroshi Fujioka (Takeshi Hongo / Kamen Rider #1, 1971-1973)!
*Miyauchi notably also played Akira Shinmei / AoRanger in the first Super Sentai series Himitsu Sentai Gorenger and Soukichi Banba / Big One in 1977’s Super Sentai series JAKQ Dengekitai.
Together, they will discuss the history of tokusatsu from topics such as difficulties of the Showa era, state-of-the-art techniques in the Heisei era, and the Kamen Riders of the Reiwa era.
Other guests on the show will include:
- Fuku Suzuki, who plays the mysterious boy in Super Hero Senki, a character who is key to the story,
- Muga Tsukaji, a comedian and a Kamen Rider fan who has made guest appearances in Kamen Rider films in the past, and
- Ruka Matsuda, known for playing Poppy Pipapopo / Kamen Rider Poppy in Kamen Rider Ex-Aid alongside Hiroki Iijima. She will appear in the show as a fellow fan of the Kamen Rider series.
The guest list continues with three more very important people:
- Toei producer Shinichiro Shirakura,
- action director Takeshi Miyazaki, and
- Kikai Sentai Zenkaiger‘s Zenkaiser
This special episode of “Hayashi Osamu no Ima Desho! Koza” will air on Tuesday, July 13 from 6:45 pm to 8:54 pm (times may vary by region).
The movie Super Hero Senki celebrates both Kamen Rider and Super Sentai‘s respective anniversaries and milestones and boasts a wide range of guest actors and voice actors, both returning actors / voice actors and familiar names in new roles. Super Hero Senki premieres in Japanese theaters on July 22.
