Ultraman Announced as Face of SingapoReimagine Campaign

Ultraman becomes the face of the public relations between Japan and Singapore in the ‘SingapoReimagine ULTRAMAN‘ campaign.

Celebrating 55 years of the Ultra Series and Singapore’s diplomatic relations with Japan, Ultraman stars as the face of the SJ55 Project in the ‘SingapoReimagine ULTRAMAN‘ campaign. SJ55 is a project by the Singapore Tourism Board (STB) to picture and build a future for tourism between Singapore and Japan. Allowing Japanese people to experience the wonders of Singapore through the virtual world.

During a press conference on June 1, STB’s Japan public relations manager Akiko Yoshida announced that Ultraman will be featured in short films, key toursim visuals, and various merchandise promoting the ongoing SingapoReimagine campaign. These materials will be released between June and December 22, 2021.

The conference was concluded with a special message from Ultraman himself.

“Earth, a beautiful planet which floats in the vastness of Space.

There, various people respect one another’s culture,
and walk together towards an unforeseen future.

In Central Southeast Asia where summer never ends, the city of Singapore stands resolute.

Here, people have gathered from many countries and regions,

and have built a beautiful place out of their noble passions.

With old traditions and new technologies, they live with abundant nature and limitless passion.

All I love about Earth is there.

Now it is said that Singapore, and the people of Earth, face an unprecedented crisis.

I want to be of help to you all

so that your people can come together once again,

and so that they can smile once more.

And so that once again this land can be filled with passion and wonder.

Let us overcome this difficulty together,

and move on as one;

Towards a brighter future.”

SingapoReimagine ULTRAMAN campaign is an ongoing campaign beginning from June of 2021, that will end in December of 2022.
