‘Kamen Rider THE MOVIE 1972-1988’ 4K Blu-Ray Box Set Coming to Japan
Toei Video announced a new 4k box set of all the Kamen Rider films from 1972-1988 to release this November in Japan.
Celebrating the franchise’s 50th anniversary, Toei Video announced a new Kamen Rider 4K Blu-ray box set. The box set will feature the 8 Showa era Kamen Rider films released between 1972-1988 across two discs alongside trailers and a physical booklet. The first disc includes Kamen Rider vs. Shocker, Kamen Rider vs. Ambassador Hell, Kamen Rider V3 vs. Destron Mutants, and Five Riders vs. King Dark. While disc two will feature 8 Kamen Riders vs. Galaxy King, Kamen Rider Super-1, Kamen Rider Black: Hurry to Onigashima, and finally Kamen Rider Black: Terrifying! The Phantom House of Devil Pass. The transfers used are all completely new 4K HDR scans of the original 35mm negative film reels.
An Amazon Japan-exclusive release of the box set also coming out will feature a set of Kamen Rider branded Menko-style cards, a card deck box, as well as a B2-size 50th-anniversary poster.
Kamen Rider THE MOVIE 1972-1988 4K Remaster Box is slated to release on November 10th in Japan. The standard release retails at 22,000 yen, whilst the Amazon exclusive version will cost 24,750 yen.
