Kamen Rider Fourze’s Ryo Yoshizawa Stars In My Hero Academia Movie
Kamen Rider Fourze star Ryo Yoshizawa has been announced as the voice of a new character in My Hero Academia The Movie: World Heroes’ Mission.
Ryo Yoshizawa (Ryusei Sakuta/Kamen Rider Meteor) will be playing a new character who will debut in the upcoming My Hero Academia movie and play a key role in the story.
Designed by series creator Kohei Horikoshi, Yoshizawa’s character is named Rody Soul. Rody will team up with Deku, Bakugo, and Todoroki in their new hero suits to stop HUMANIZE, an organization trying to eliminate people with Quirks. Having given up on his dreams of making a living, Rody hides his distrust of heroes from the Class 1-A trio.
Recently, Yoshizawa played Manjiro Sano in the currently airing Tokyo Revengers anime along with other tokusatsu alumni. Yoshizawa made the following comment along with the announcement:
“I will be playing Rody Soul in the movie My Hero Academia: World Heroes’ Mission.
I love My Hero Academia, and I’m really excited that I’ll exist in that world.
It’s great that there’s love for this series in many places!
It’s reaching people!
Just as planned!
Though I’m inadequate in a lot of ways, I’ll try hard to create a character that won’t destroy this passionate, humorous, wonderful world. Please support me.”
