Lovepatrina Cast Speak at Press Event for Upcoming Movie

The cast of the Police x Heroine Lovepatrina movie spoke at a press event on April 24 regarding their upcoming film.

On April 24, the main cast of Police x Heroine Lovepatrina appeared at a press event to talk about their upcoming movie, Police x Heroine Lovepatrina: ~Kaito kara Chousen! Love de Papatto Taihose yo!~ (~A Challenge from Phantom Thieves! We’ll Arrest You with Love!~).

  • Miyu Watanabe as Tsubasa Aiba / Lovepat Pink
  • Rina Yamaguchi as Sarai Shihara / Lovepat Purple
  • Yui Yamashita as Kohana Aose / Lovepat Blue
  • Yuura Sugihara as Sora Nanairo / Lovepat Shine

Also in attendance were Shingo Yanagisawa (Police Chief Shingo), Seishiro Kato (Inspector Aikawa), and director Takashi Miike.

When asked about the series getting its own movie, Watanabe replied, “It was such big news! I was really surprised. I love the idea of seeing us all on a big screen. It was so exciting!”

“It’ll be a cute movie overflowing with love,” Sugihara remarked.

Regarding scenes to watch for, “There’s the scene where we pose with Phantomirage (of Secret x Heroine Phantomirage), and then there’s the scene when past Girls x Heroine warriors show up,” Yamaguchi mentioned. Yamashita added, “We filmed a lot of dance scenes too, so please watch them!”

For Kato, he had not worked with director Miike since playing Rintaro in the movie Nintama Rintaro nearly 10 years prior. He gave the following advice to the Lovepatrina girls: “With each production and each character you play, I’m sure there will be many struggles, but it’s important to be able to lift yourselves up and to find ways to make it fun.”

From Yanagisawa, “Try to take good care of your bodies! Take care, you hear! Ey ey oh!”

“We’ll do our best!” Sugihara reponded cheerily.
