The tokusatsu merchandise roundup to start off February 2021 features exclusive merchandise celebrating the 50th anniversary of Kamen Rider as well as the latest goods from the Kamen Rider and Ultra Series. 

Commemorating the 50th anniversary of Kamen Rider, Premium Bandai is releasing a myriad of items including: a pullover hoodie, three types of t-shirts, a bath towel, and three types of umbrellas.

First, we have the Kamen Rider 50th Anniversary Successive Belt Pattern pullover hoodie. This is a pullover hoodie with a lineup of successive transformation belts to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Kamen Rider series. It is made of light 8.4 oz fleece. The design features successive transformation belts from Kamen Rider 1 to Kamen Rider Saber, which is currently on air. It has has the words “KAMEN RIDER SERIES 1971-2020”. The hoodie comes in sizes: M (US S), L (US M), and XL (US L). It is available in two colors: black and heather gray. The black hoodie is made of 100% cotton and the heather gray hoodie is made of 93% cotton/7% polyester.

The Kamen Rider 50th Anniversary Successive Belt Pattern pullover hoodie will go for 5,940 Yen (tax included).

Next, is the Kamen Rider Saber & Kamen Rider 50th Successive Transformation Belt Pattern t-shirt. The t-shirt is designed with successive transformation belts lined up to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Kamen Rider series. It is a 5.6 oz heavyweight t-shirt that can be worn roughly. The design features successive transformation belts from Kamen Rider 1 to Kamen Rider Saber, which is currently on air, as well as the words “KAMEN RIDER SERIES 1971-2020”. The shirt is made of 100% cotton and comes in sizes: M (US S), L (US M), XL (US L), and XXL (US XL). It is available in two colors: black and white.

Following, we have the Kamen Rider Saber & Kamen Rider 50th Symbols Circle Pattern t-shirt. It is a t-shirt with a symbol design commemorating the 50th anniversary of the Kamen Rider series. The design features the symbols of Kamen Rider 1 to Kamen Rider Saber, which is currently on air, as well as a detailed silhouette and 5.0 ounces of popular fabric thickness. The shirt is made of 100% cotton and comes in sizes: M (US S), L (US M), XL (US L), and XXL (US XL).

Premium Bandai is once again teaming up with Yoshihito Sugahara Project to bring the Yoshihito Sugahara Project Kamen Rider Saber & Kamen Rider 50th t-shirt. The Yoshihito Sugahara Project is a series designed by Yoshihito Sugahara, who has worked on numerous toy packages, for adult fans. The design commemorates the 50th anniversary of Kamen Rider and features every main Kamen Rider from Kamen Rider 1 to Kamen Rider Saber, which is currently on air. The shirt is made of 100% cotton and cones in sizes: M (US S), L (US M), XL (US L), and XXL (US XL).

The Yoshihito Sugahara Project Kamen Rider Saber & Kamen Rider 50th t-shirt will go for 4,180 Yen (tax included).

Another Yoshihito Sugahara Project item to commemorate the 50th anniversary is the Yoshihito Sugahara Project Kamen Rider Saber & Kamen Rider 50th bath towel. The towel design commemorates the 50th anniversary of Kamen Rider and features every main Kamen Rider colorized from Kamen Rider 1 to Kamen Rider Saber, which is currently on air. The towel measures approx. height of 59 cm x width of 119 cm. The front is made of 100% polyester and the back is made of 100% cotton.

The Yoshihito Sugahara Project Kamen Rider Saber & Kamen Rider 50th bath towel will go for 4,400 Yen (tax included).

Premium Bandai is releasing three types of umbrellas to commemorate the 50th Kamen Rider anniversary: easy automatic opening/closing folding umbrella with one touch, folding umbrella with windproof function, and jump windproof long umbrella. Each design features the symbols of every main Kamen Rider on a black umbrella. All are made of polyester and rib bone fiber glass.

The folding umbrella with one touch is an umbrella that opens and closes automatically with one touch. It is very convenient because you can operate it with one hand when you carry your luggage or get in and out of the car. In addition, the safety structure prevents the shaft from popping out when stored. Since the fabric is UV processed, it can also be used as an umbrella for both sunny and rainy weather. It has UV processing that achieves a UV cut rate of 90% or more as well as Teflon processing that demonstrates high water repellency and antifouling effect. The umbrella measures 58 cm x 7 cm (bones).

The Kamen Rider 50th Anniversary easy automatic opening/closing folding umbrella with one touch will go for 5,720 Yen (tax included).

The folding umbrella with windproof function makes it safe even on windy days. It uses fiber glass bone that can withstand strong winds that will not break even if the umbrella is turned upside down by the wind. It is a safe and large size with a length of 100 cm or more (usually about 90 cm) when the umbrella is opened. Since the fabric is UV processed, it can also be used as an umbrella for both sunny and rainy weather. UV processing that achieves a UV cut rate of 90% or more is used as well as Teflon processing that demonstrates high water repellency and antifouling effect. it uses reinforced plastic, passive that is made of glass fiber, and is wind resistant. The jump windproof long umbrella can be used easily with one touch. It is safe even when the wind blows too hard. The umbrella has an easy-to-press open button that is hand-held. It uses UV processing that achieves a UV cut rate of 90% or more as well as Teflon processing that demonstrates high water repellency and antifouling effect. The umbrella is a large automatic opening and closing umbrella with a size of 65 cm. It measures 65 cm x 8 cm (bones).

The Kamen Rider 50th Anniversary jump windproof long umbrella will also go for 5,280 Yen (tax included).

Count the Medals! 1, 2, and 3! We have the Kamen Rider OOO necklace set. These necklaces inspired by Eiji Hino and Ankh which are included in a set of two. Each necklace is made of painted brass and painted white brass. Eiji’s necklace features his underpants on a stick and half of the broken Taka Core Medal while Ankh’s necklace features the other half as well as Ankh’s floating hand and a popsicle (Ankh’s favorite food). The whole set (in conjunction with the left and right) measures a length of about 30 mm × side about 70 mm with the chain measuring about 45 cm (one each and total of two left and right).

The Build catalog also has the Kamen Rider Build Kazumi Sawatari dog tag. These dog tags are replicas of the ones that Kazumi Sawatari is seen wearing in the Kamen Rider Build TV series. The rim is black with the “SAWATARI KAZUMI” brand engraved. It is made of aluminum, brass plating, and silicon. The ID plate measures a height of approx. 37 mm x width of approx. 31 mm while the chain measures approx. 65 cm.

Flashing forward to the Reiwa era, this brings us to the Kamen Rider Saber Image Design chronograph watch. Kamen Rider Saber is now a chronograph wristwatch designed in the image of his Brave Dragon form. It has coloring that combines red and black with the image of his Brave Dragon form. At the 9 o’clock index, yellow stones that are designed after the eyes of the beast “Brave Dragon” on the right shoulder are arranged, and the pattern that the flame is designed on is expressed by the carving. At the 12 o’clock position on the dial, the Saber mark and the characters used for the driver part are placed in gold, making it a simple yet gorgeous and noble design. In addition, the second hand is shaped like the Holy Swordriver, giving the image of a Brave Dragon swinging its sword. The index (number part) and in-dial use several letters in the work, and it is
designed to express the world view of Kamen Rider Saber. The case, case back, and crown are made of stainless steel. The
dial and needles are made of brass. The windshield is made of mineral glass. The band is made of cowhide (lining / synthetic leather) and the machine used is the TMI VD53 (Japanese quartz). The watch body measures 42 mm horizontally x 49 mm vertically x 12 mm thick. The band width is 20 mm and the arm circumference size is approximately 13.5 cm to 19.5 cm.

Kamen Rider Saber joins the Acrylic Logo EX line with the Acrylic Logo Display EX Kamen Rider Saber logo. It is a new form of display featuring a logo that symbolizes the character. It has a thickness of about 10 mm and surface processing. The logo should produce a sense of presence and luxury. The acrylic logos present various display possibilities such as decorating as a single item or decorating with a collection. The body measures approximately a width of 120 mm x height of 42 mm. The pedestal measures approximately width of 115 mm x height of 23 mm. Everything is made of acrylic.

The Acrylic Logo Display EX Kamen Rider Saber logo from Kamen Rider Saber will go for 1,320 Yen (tax included) and is scheduled for shipment in July 2021. Preorders are being accepted today.

And to end our weekly roundup, we have the Ultraman Orb Multi Tote Bags. Each tote bag is designed with the image of “Gai Kurenai/Ultraman Orb” and “Jugglus Juggler” from the Ultraman Orb TV series. The bags have many pockets convenient for storage. Two pockets are on both sides and two pockets are on the inside for storing mobile phones. The length of the handle can be adjusted in size. Each measures a length of 36.5 cm x width of 29 cm x gusset 10 cm. The handle measures 30 cm (maximum 56 cm) and everything is made of polyester.
