Premium Bandai Announces S.H.MonsterArts Biollante Special Color ver.

Premium Bandai announced their newest release in the S.H.MonsterArts series, the S.H.MonsterArts Biollante Special Color ver. from the Godzilla vs. Biollante film. 

The S.H.MonsterArts Biollante originally debuted in 2013 never to be seen again… but now, it becomes available again in a special color version. In order to further emphasize Biollante’s sculpt, which has been carefully and meticulously crafted with the utmost attention to detail, various coloring details not seen in the original release are added. It utilizes three-dimensional paint applications that emphasizes the giant size of Biollante. The prototype was produced by Fuyuki Shinada, who created the Biollante marionette for the film.

A light emitting gimmick is mounted in the belly, just like the original release. The color can be changed by switching the on and off switch located under the figure. The figure is massive and equipped with joints for each part. The movement is unique to S.H.MonsterArts which makes it possible to reproduce iconic scenes from the movie. The figure is made of ABS and PVC. It requires three LR44 batteries (with test battery) and measures an overall height of about 190 mm-250 mm.

The S.H.MonsterArts Biollante Special Color ver. from the Godzilla vs. Biollante film will go for 30,800 Yen (tax included) and is scheduled for shipment in December 2020. Preorders are being accepted starting July 22, 2020, at 16:00 JST.
