Rima Matsuda Joins Ultraman Z Cast As Yoko Nakashima

Rima Matsuda will play the ace pilot of STORAGE Yoko Nakashima in Ultraman Z.

Tsuburaya Productions has unveiled the newest cast announcement for Ultraman Z. Playing Yoko Nakashima, the ace pilot of STORAGE will be Rima Matsuda. This will be Matsuda’s first acting job in tokusatsu.

Yoko Nakashima is a 24 year old pilot who is a trusted ally to Haruki Natsukawa. She is an expert pilot and highly skilled behind the cockpit of a plane. Although he has a cheerful and determined personality, she also has a “girly side” to her as well. Nakashima is also admirers Ultraman Z.  If Nakashima gets asked out, she will challenge them to an arm-wrestling match, which she has never lost.

Rima Matsuda has commented on her casting of Yoko Nakashima. She is excited to be apart of the Ultra series, and was shaking when she found out she got the part. While filming she got a lot of support from the director and others on set. Given that this was Nakashima’s first acting role in a tokusatsu project, every scene she was apart of was enjoyable.

Ultraman Z has come together thanks to the hard work of many teams, so I’ll also do my best to help make it a show that can be loved by both children and adults! Please look forward to it!

Ultraman Z will air on TV Tokyo June 20th, 2020 at 9am.
