As the number of tokusatsu events and productions canceled or postponed by COVID-19 rises, Team TokuNet has created an archive of the events affected by it.

Events & Productions From Japan:

 

Mashin Sentai Kiramager Production Halted

Due to the events of Rio Komiya (KiramaRed) contracting COVID-19, production of Mashin Sentai Kiramager have halted for the time being. Currently, production of the show has been completed for up to mid-May for airing. Komiya has been released from the hospital, but production would not continue for up to two weeks after his release.

At this time, no updated statement has been given as to the status of production for the series.

G-Rosso Mashin Sentai Kiramager Stage Show Cancelled

Originally scheduled for from March 20th to May 10th, the event is now canceled entirely.

Going forward, the venue will make decisions on stage shows at the jurisdiction of the government and Tokyo, and the current state of conditions at the time.

Sanrio Puroland closed, Kamen Rider Decade x Hello Kitty event canceled

Sanrio Puroland, the location where the Kamen Rider Decade & Hello Kitty collaboration event was going to take place, is currently closed. Ultimately, the entire event, dedicated to the release of the collaboration, is canceled.

Sanrio Puroland itself is currently closed until May 10th and is refraining from holding any events for the time being.

Kishiryu Sentai Ryusoulger Final Live Tour 2020 Cancelled

Originally scheduled for April 18th-19th in Nagoya and April 25th and 26th in Osaka, all performances of the Kishiryu Sentai Ryusoulger Final Live Tour 2020 are canceled. In addition, the planned DVD recording of the stage show will not take place for the safety of the staff members who would be a part of it.

Hero Live Special 2020 Canceled

The Hero Live Special which takes place in May each year is canceled. Articles and booklets for the event are available, but tickets are not able to be purchased for the event.

Ultraman Taiga The Movie Theatrical Release Postponed

The theatrical release for Ultraman Taiga The Movie: New Generation Climax, is currently postponed. This film features the New Generation Heroes of the Ultra series against Ultraman Tregear and Ultraman Taro, who has been turned evil. No word yet has been provided as to when the new theatrical release of the movie will take place.

Kamen Rider Zero-One Special Event Postponed

A special event for Kamen Rider Zero-One was scheduled to take place in May 2020. As of this time, the event has now been postponed. Advertisements for the announcement of the event will still take place, but tickets cannot be purchased for the event.

Secret x Warrior Phantomirage Movie Postponed

The theatrical release of Takashi Miike’s Secret x Warrior Phantomirage movie is currently postponed. When the time comes for its new release date, tickets that were purchased for the original release date of April 1st will be accepted.

Kamen Rider Den-O: Pretty Den-O Appears! Release Postponed

Originally scheduled to release at the Toei Manga Festival, Kamen Rider Den-O: Pretty Den-O Appears! is currently postponed for its theatrical release. The film features the return of the Den-Liner crew, and a 10-year-old girl named Anna, who is being pursued by Shocker. No word has been provided as to when the updated release will be, but when one is decided, the website for the Toei Manga Festival will update with the new date.

W Hero Summer Festival 2020 Cancelled

A yearly summer event featuring characters from Super Sentai & Kamen Rider alike has officially been cancelled. Although booklets from the announcement is posted, tickets cannot be purchased at this time. There is no further word on if the event will be rescheduled.

 

Events & Productions From The United States:

Power Morphicon 2020 Delayed to June 2021

In an official press release by the Power Morphicon Convention the convention is delayed to 2021. The event has been delayed from its original date of September 2020 to June 18-20 2021 at the Pasadena Convention Center in Pasadena, CA. Anyone who has a membership already will automatically have that transferred over to the new date in June 2020. New memberships for the convention will be made available later in the year.
