Sacred Guardian Singa Trailer Released

The first trailer for Sacred Guardian Singa, an indie tokusatsu project, has been released by Tokuasia.

Tokuasia has released the first trailer for their indie tokusatsu project, Sacred Guardian Signa. This first trailer is meant as a proof-of-concept for the full show to come.

The following quote comes from a Tokuasia press release for the project:

Sacred Guardian Singa is the story of a young man intent on forging his own path, who must come to terms with a power he is destined to inherit from a past life, in order to defend the future of humanity against an evil cult that seeks to free their leader from his centuries-long imprisonment within the fabled Crown of Nila Utama. Inspired by popular long-running Tokusatsu (SFX) programs such as Kamen Rider, Sacred Guardian Singa firmly embraces its Singaporean & Southeast Asian origin by incorporating the region’s shared history & mythology into its lore, all while telling a contemporary superhero story that deals with identity, purpose and destiny.”

The cast includes Kasimir Poh Cieslak as Ryan Leong, Dorothy Leong as Inspector Yvonne Chan, Sherly Devonne Ng as Ling, and Kris Mavericko as Dr. Sam Patel/Dr. Grulin. Leading the staff are Director Aydeel Djoeharie, Producers Basil Yeo and Aydeel Djoeharie, Assistant Director DJ Djitowibowo, and screenwriter Basil Yeo.

Sacred Guardian Singa is planned for release in 2020.
