Masaki Suda to Star in Japanese Dub of Shazam!

Kamen Rider W actor Masaki Suda will be providing the Japanese dub voice of the titular character in DC’s Shazam!.

Based on the DC comic superhero of the same name, Shazam! follows the story of Billy Batson, an orphan who boards a subway car only to be transported to another realm where he receives god-like power from an ancient wizard.

The Japanese dub will feature Masaki Suda as the lead character. Suda is best known to tokusatsu fans as one half of the 2009 Kamen Rider W duo, simply known as Philip. He would go on to have a busy career after the show ended, so much so that he was unable to take the offer to be in 2018’s highly successful Kamen Rider Heisei Generations FOREVER movie.

Shazam! will be debuting in Japan on April 19th, just two weeks after is debut in the US.
