Master Ryusoulger Cast Members Revealed

Toei has announced additional cast members for the upcoming Kishiryu Sentai Ryusoulger Super Sentai series.

The cast members are Masaya Kikawada (Hongo Takeshi in Kamen Rider THE FIRST and THE NEXT) as Master Red, Jouji Shibue (Kamen Rider Ibuki in Kamen Rider Hibiki, Tuxedo Mask in Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon) as Master Blue and Miyu Sawai (Sailor Moon in the Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon tokusatsu) as Master Pink

Master Red is Kou’s master and teaches him about fighting as well as what it means to be a knight.

Master Blue believes in the potential of Melt, he is almost always calm and gives precise instructions.

Master Pink is the master of Asuna, who she cares about very much.

The three Master Ryusoulger cast members have all appeared together in the past, with Kikawada appearing alongside Shibue and Sawai as a civillian character in Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon, which was produced by Ryusoulger’s head producer. The actors take their jobs seriously and attempt to act as real life “masters” for the younger cast members, imparting stories and their experience as hero actors from the past.

Sawai talked to the cast about how to stay healthy during the long filming sessions while Shibue talks about dealing with the weather.

Hayate Ichinose, who plays Kou/RyusoulRed, is said to get along with Kikawada as if they were brothers.

Jiro Dan, known for his role as the lead character in Ultraman Returns, portrays the elder of the Ryusoul Tribe.

The show’s story is described as:

65 million years ago

An era when dinosaurs were everywhere. When attackers sought to take over the world, bringing war, knights were selected to stand against this threat. A meteor falls to the earth and brings the era of the dinosaurs to an end. Those chosen knights then chose to live the rest of their lives quietly on earth. In preparation for the return of this enemy, dinosaurs with great power were made to sleep in a temple.

Now, at the end of the Heisei era, the attackers have returned to Earth, pushing their evil to the limits of the universe. Now, it’s time to grasp the powers of the dinosaurs!

“Knights” x “Dinosaurs”

Now is the time to protect earth’s peace with that power!

65 million years ago, the immensely powerful Druidon Tribe reigned over Earth. The tribe abandoned the planet when a gigantic meteor approached, vowing that they would return as the rulers of the world again as they headed into space.

The Ryusou Tribe who battled against the Druidon Tribe stayed on earth, along with their dinosaur companions, the Kishiryu. The Ryusou Tribe withstood the ice age brought on by the gigantic meteor. They placed their Kishiryu companions into the Ryusouls and sealed them in temples throughout the world.

Time has moved on and the Druidon Tribe has returned after fighting in harsh environments across space, totally increasing their powers. The Ryusou Tribe that kept the Earth safe in the past have selected new knights: the Ryusoulgers. They have been revived by their mission as the battle against the Druidon Tribe begins.

Kishiryu Sentai Ryusoulger will premiere on March 17th at 9:30 AM on TV Asahi.
