Kishiryu Sentai Ryusoulger Prequel Spinoff Announced

A Kishiryu Sentai Ryusoulger prequel spinoff “The Legacy of the Master’s Soul” will premiere on the Toei Tokusatsu Fan Club on October 17.

On September 12, Toei announced a prequel spinoff to the 2019-2020 Super Sentai series Kishiryu Sentai Ryusoulger. This spinoff, Kishiryu Sentai Ryusoulger – The Legacy of the Master’s Soul serves as an “episode 0”, taking place prior to the start of the TV series.

The story of The Legacy of the Master’s Soul is centered on Master Red, Master Blue, and Master Pink, mentors of Koh (Ryusoul Red), Melt (Ryusoul Blue), and Asuna (Ryusoul Pink). The five main Ryusoulgers will also appear in this special.

Nire, Master Red’s senior will be played by Kenji Matsuda, a Toei tokusatsu veteran who appeared in both Kamen Rider Hibiki (Zanki) and Kamen Rider Kiva (Jiro). Kanon Hanakage will play Isuka, another pupil of Master Pink. Fans might recognize her as Team Gaim’s Chucky from Kamen Rider Gaim. Researching the Ryusouls is Master Blue’s former pupil Mayu, played by Karen Miyazaki, and lastly, Ren Komai will play Hana, a mysterious girl.

Story

Just before the Druidon returned to invade Earth, three masters took much care in assessing their successors-to-be. Isuka, confident in her strength, could not accept Master Pink’s favoring Asuna. Her impatience was felt by Master Blue as well. At this time, a Minosaur suddenly appeared.

This Minosaur used techniques similar to the ones Isuka had just learned. Could it have been born from her? And what is the secret behind Hana, the mysterious girl who appeared before Master Red?!

Kishiryu Sentai Ryusoulger: The Legacy of the Master’s Souls will be released via the Toei Tokusatsu Fan Club on October 17.
