Live-Action Bleach Film Heads To Netflix
Live action adaptation of Tite Kubo’s manga staring Sota Fukushi comes to Netflix next month.
It was announced that the live-action adaptation of Tite Kubo’s Bleach manga will be available to stream on Netflix in North America starting next month on September 14. Bleach is the next in a line of live-action anime adaptations available on the website, joining the ranks of Fullmetal Alchemist and Death Note. The website describes the plot as follows:
“When high schooler Ichigo is suddenly given reaper abilities, he really wants to give the powers back. But he’ll have to reap some souls first.”
As previously reported, the movie stars former Kamen Rider Fourze alumni Sota Fukushi, Ryo Yoshizawa, and Erina Mano as Ichigo Kurosaki, Ishida Uryuu, and Orihime Inoue, respectively. The film was released in Japan on July 20 and centers around the “Substitute Shinigami Arc”, which covers volumes 1-8 of the manga.
