Tsuburaya Announces “KAIJU STEP” Picture Book Series

The new series is also being serialized in Meba magazine.

Tsuburaya announced the release of its “KAIJU STEP” picture book series for young children in Japan. The overall theme for KAIJU STEP is “the first step”. It chronicles various firsts in the lives of children via monster stories. Firsts include running, falling, and growing up.

A short animated commercial was posted to Tsuburaya Productions’ Official YouTube channel to help promote the series. A short animation mini feature will also be released as a bonus in an upcoming issue of Meba magazine. Additionally, a promotional coloring page will be released across Japan at Tsutaya 141 stores free of charge.

The illustrations are done by Yosuke Kihara from stories written by famed children’s author Keitaro Kikaseya.
