Cast Talk About Their Thoughts at Lupinranger VS Patranger en film Press Conference

A production presentation was held in Tokyo on the 12th for the upcoming Lupinranger VS Patranger movie.

Due to the nature of the show, Kaito Sentai Lupinranger VS Keisatsu Sentai Patranger (Phantom Thief Sentai Lupinranger VS Police Sentai Patranger) will be the first summer Sentai movie to feature two teams.

Kousei Yuki, who plays Keiichiro, Patren#1, said there will be a lot of untransformed action between his character and Kairi (Lupinred, played by Asahi Ito) in the movie. There will also be scenes where live gunpowder is used, which Yuki said was a little scary to film.

Ito mentioned the sense of responsibility he feels in regards to this movie. As this is the first summer movie with two Sentai teams and there is a focus on the “double red” aspect, he says he put his all into it. Ito hopes viewers will see the appeal in the “double red human drama” of the movie.

Naoki Tanaka, who plays Herlock Sholmes, a world-famous detective who is the Lupinrangers’ greatest enemy, says he never expected to be in a Sentai movie and feels like it’s a dream come true due to his love of Himitsu Sentai Goranger (Secret Sentai Goranger), the first Sentai series, from his childhood.

Yuki’s final comments mentioned there being dynamic battle scenes in the movie while Ito mentioned the “luxurious feel of this work”.

Kaito Sentai Lupinranger VS Police Sentai Patranger en film will open on August 4th.
