Sensei Kunshu Live Action Movie to Star Kamen Rider Drive’s Ryoma Takeuchi
A newly released teaser trailer for Sensei Kunshu‘s live-action movie revealed an August 1st release date.
Sensei Kunshu is a manga by Momoko Koda about the relationship between a high school student named Ayuha Samaru and her teacher, Yoshitaka Hiromitsu. The manga ran from 2013 to 2017 with its final volume releasing in August 2017. Now, a live action film based on the manga is coming to Japanese theaters, starring Minami Hanabe as Ayuha and Ryoma Takeuchi (Tomari Shinnosuke, Kamen Rider Drive) as Yoshitaka.
Above is the poster for the film which was intended to mimic the style of a Bessatsu Margaret magazine cover since that’s the magazine which featured the original manga. The teaser trailer can be viewed below and announces the release date for the film.
Additional cast members include Taiki Sato (Kotake Sawada) as Ayuha’s childhood friend with feelings for her, Rina Kawaei (Aoi Nakamura) as Ayuha’s best friend, Yua Shinkawa (Akika Saimon) as Yoshitaka’s childhood friend, and Riko Fukumoto (Kaho) as Ayuha’s classmate who has her sights set on Yoshitaka.
Sensei Kunshu will release in Japanese movie theaters on August 1st of this year.
