You’re Next Director Adam Wingard Set to Direct Godzilla Vs. Kong

Director Adam Wingard of The Guest, Blair Witch and You’re Next acclaim is set to direct Legendary Picture’s and Warner Bros.’s Godzilla vs. Kong film.

Despite it being a few years away from the anticipated release, a director has been announced to helm Godzilla vs/ Kong. Adam Wingard, who is best known for his directing of The Guest, Blair Witch, and You’re Next, will be directing the film.

Pirates of the Caribbean writer Terry Rossio leads the writers room that’s currently working on the film’s script, including Patrick McKay and J.D. Payne (Star Trek Beyond), Lindsey Beer, Cat Vasko, T.S. Nowlin (Maze Runner), Jack Paglen (Transcendence), and J. Michael Straczynski (Babylon 5).

Godzilla vs. Kong is part of Legendary Picture’s and Warner Bros.’s cinematic universe called the “MonsterVerse”. It will premiere on May 22nd, 2020.
