Saint Seiya Gets A Live-Action Adaption
Masami Kurumada’s popular Saint Seiya manga will be adapted into a live-action film.
Last Friday, Eiga’s news website reported the legendary Masami Kurumada’s Saint Seiya manga will be getting the Hollywood treatment and currently has been green-lit for a live-action film. The film will be co-produced by Toei Animation and A Really Good Film Company.
The Academy Award nominated short film Katedra Director, Tomasz Bagiński will be directing this film. Yoshiyuki Ikezawa and Kozo Morishita from Toei Animation will be serving as the film’s producer and executive producer, respectively.
Saint Seiya, also known as Saint Seiya: Knights of the Zodiac or simply Knights of the Zodiac is about a boy named Seiya that is trained in order to be deemed worthy of wearing the Pegasus bronze cloth. Seiya is joined by other bronze saints to fight in the name of their goddess Athena and protect her current reincarnation.
