Sailor Moon Musical to have Its First U.S. Performance
The live musical adaption of Sailor Moon will be coming to the United States for the first time.
The massively popular Japanese musical “Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon: The Musical-Amour Eternal” will be staged during the Anime Matsuri convention, held from April 7-9th in Houston, TX. The musical will feature all nine Sailor Scouts and Tuxedo Mask from the Sailor Moon franchise. No further information was available at the time of this writing, including a specific time, venue, and date. However, these will follow as the convention nears.
Many Sailor Moon adaptions have featured tokusatsu alum. This current stage play features Karen Kobayashi as Sailor Mars, who played Mari from Kamen Rider Ghost. In the 2003 live-action television adaptation, Jōji Shibue, who played Kamen Rider Ibuki from Kamen Rider Hibiki, starred as Tuxedo Mask along with Masaya Kikawada, who starred as Takeshi Hongo in Kamen Rider The First, who played Motoki Furuhata in the live-action show.

I happened to be in Houston and attended this with few old friends. Great musical performance and we enjoyed every minute of it.
