International Model and Toys Super Festival 73 Held in Tokyo

The International Model and Toys Super Festival 73 was held in Tokyo this weekend. Super Festival is an exhibition featuring toys and tokusatsu alumni.


The International Model and Toys Super Festival also promotes currently ongoing movies, tv shows and anime series. Visitors also had the opportunity to attend autograph signings and cast panels.

Among the toys on display was the upcoming Gashapon Full Action Figure SAGA of Kamen Rider 01 of Kamen Rider Ex-Aid Level 2. It is scheduled to be released in early March 2017.

Super Festival attendees were also able to purchase event-only limited edition items, such as figures of Ultraman, Kikaider and kaiju.

Several tokusatsu alumni and directors appeared as Special Guests:

  • Hiroshi Fujioka (Takeshi Hongo/Kamen Rider 1)
  • Keita Amemiya (Creator of GARO and Director and Character Designer)
  • Eiichi Kikuchi (Actor in Spider-Man, Battle Fever J and Ultraman)
  • Noboru Iguchi (Director of Karate-Robo Zaborgar)
  • Yuichi Nakamura (Sakurai Yuuto/Kamen Rider Zeronos in Kamen Rider Den-O)
  • Ryosuke Kaizu (Takeru/Red Mask in Hikari Sentai Maskman)
  • Kei Shindachitani (Ken Hoshikawa/Five Blue in Chikyu Sentai Fiveman)
  • Michiko Makino (Hikaru Katsuragi/Pink Five in Choudenshi Bioman)
  • Eri Tanaka (Chisato Jougasaki/MegaYellow in Denji Sentai Megaranger)
  • Juri Miyazawa (Saya/GingaPink in Seijuu Sentai Gingaman)
  • Hirokatsu Kihara (ghost story author and MC)
