Liveman’s Red Falcon Returns for Zyuohger vs Ninninger and Hopes For Further Appearances

The 2017 Super Sentai team-up film will feature various past Super Sentai alumni, including Liveman’s Red Falcon.

Daisuke Shima, who portrayed Yusuke Amamiya/Red Falcon in the 1988 Super Sentai series, Chojin Sentai Liveman, will return to reprise his role in the upcoming Dobutsu Sentai Zyuohger vs Ninninger: Message From the Future From Super Sentai.

This will be the second time the 52-year-old actor has returned to his role, having previously reprised it during the 2001 direct to video feature, Hyakuju Sentai Gaoranger vs Super Sentai.

Although Shima’s only appears during one scene as a voice over, his presence in the film is described as a important moment in which he gives hope to the Zyuohger and Ninninger teams. The actor also mentions he has his sights sets on being able to return to Sentai “the year after next.” 2018 marks the 30th anniversary of Liveman‘s original airing.

Dobutsu Sentai Zyuohger vs Ninninger the Movie: Message from the Future from Super Sentai premieres January 14 in Japan.
