Ultraman alien Dada met Swiss Ambassador Urs Bucher as a part of the 100 Years of Dadaism Festival in Tokyo.

2016 marks the 100th anniversary of Dadaism, an avant-garde art movement that started in Zurich, Switzerland at the Cabaret Voltaire, and quickly spread all over the world. The movement reached Japan in July 0f 1923 thanks to the efforts of artist and playwright Tomoyoshi Murayama.

To celebrate and showcase Dadaist works by Japanese artists, the embassy of Switzerland in Japan is throwing the 100 Years of Dadaism Festival.

The “Three Faced Phantom” Dada is a race of aliens from the Ultra Series that first appearend in Ultraman episode 28. Designed by Toru Narita, Dada is itself an example of Dadaist art.
