TokuNet Podcast #22 – Ultraman X: Series Review

Team TokuNet discusses 2015’s Ultraman X with special guest Jared Foust.

Ultraman fans around the world have been treated to a number of English-subtitled shows appearing on legal streaming sites such as Crunchyroll and ShoutFactory TV in the past couple of years. But 2015 marked a first for tokusatsu in the west. The most recent entry in the Ultraman franchise, Ultraman X, became the first tokusatsu series to be simulcast with English subtitles. Many fans tuned in each week to follow the adventures of Daichi, Ultraman X, and the attack team Xio.

Now that the series has completed its run, the podcast crew has assembled to talk about their favorite parts of Ultraman X. We talk about which characters became our favorite throughout the show, the most standout episodes of the season, and speculate the future of the franchise among many other topics.
