Kamen Rider Actor Hiroshi Fujioka Warns Against Drugs in Public Service Announcement

h

Hiroshi Fujioka, best known for playing Takeshi Hongo / Kamen Rider #1, partnered with the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department for a public service campaign encouraging people to fight addiction and drug abuse.

Hiroshi Fujioka and the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department teamed up for an anti-drug campaign that includes posters of Fujioka as Kamen Rider #1.

The poster exclaims, “The new enemy is dangerous drugs!” encouraging readers to fight to protect themselves from the temptations of illegal drug use.

Japan and the rest of Asia has a very hard history with illegal usage of drugs. In 2013, 12,951 people were arrested in Japan on drug-related charges, most receiving heavy prison sentences. This Kamen Rider PSA is just the latest in a long line of PSA’s that have tried to combat the drug crisis in Japan.

The posters will be on display in the Tokyo area in locations such as police stations, community centres, and malls starting at the end of February.
