Crunchyroll has announced that they will be simulcasting the new Ultraman television series, Ultraman X starting this week with English subtitles.
Directed by Kiyotaka Taguchi (Geharha, Giant Monster Movie: G, Ultraman Ginga S), Ultraman X stars Kensuke Takahashi as Daichi Oozora, a member of XiO (Xeno Invasion Outcutters) who unites with the titular Ultra Warrior to face a new wave of Spark Doll monsters awakened by a solar “Ultra Flare”. The series also stars Yoshihiko Hosoda (Detroit Metal City), Yu Kamio (Kamen Rider OOO), and VOYAGER band members TAKERU and Chiaki Sejimo.It joins Crunchyroll’s current roster of Ultra Series shows, including Ultraman Leo, Ultraman 80, Ultraman Max, and Ultraman Mebius. Episodes will be available for Crunchyroll members worldwide except for Asia. It is worth noting that Ultraman X counts as the first ever English-subtitled simulcast of a tokusatsu series.
Ultraman X will begin simulcasting on Crunchyroll starting this Tuesday, July 14th, at 3:30AM Pacific Time.
