Kamen Rider Blade Blu-Ray Boxes Announced
Listings on Amazon have revealed that the next Blu-Ray Box release will be the 2004 series, Kamen Rider Blade.
Broadcast from 2004-2005, Kamen Rider Blade told the story of the surviving members of the BOARD organization, following an attack by the mysterious Undead. Using the Rider System and the powers of the Undead sealed inside Rouse Cards, Blade, Garren, Chalice, and Leangle are humanity’s only chance of survival.
The series remains to be a fan-favorite, having had a spin-off novel, a sequel Drama CD, and multiple returns in later shows and films. Both Blade and Garren (played once again by Takayuki Tsubaki and Kousei Amano respectively) are set to reappear in Super Hero Taisen GP: Kamen Rider #3.
Each of the Kamen Rider Blade Blu-Ray Boxes will contain three discs and yet-to-be-fully-announced special features. Much like the previous Heisei Rider Series Blu-Ray Box releases, the Blade Boxes are expected to include the Televi-Kun Super Battle Video, “Blade VS Blade”, but not the main summer feature film, Missing Ace. It is also unclear as of this writing if the set will include the movie tie-in Next Generation shorts.
Additionally, the sets will feature highlights from a 10-year reunion of Blade‘s main cast: Takayuki Tsubaki, Ryoji Morimoto (Hajime/Chalice), Kousei Amano, Takahiro Hojo (Mutsuki/Leangle), Terunosuke Takezai (Kotaro), and Yumi Egawa (Shiori).
The Kamen Rider Blade Blu-Ray Boxes will be released in Japan starting this summer with Set 1 on July 8th, Set 2 on September 9th, and Set 3 on November 11th. Each Box will cost 21,384 Yen. This release will be concurrent with the upcoming Black RX Blu-Ray Boxes which will have their first release in June.

there was a mistake here: the name of Hajime’s actor is Ryoji Morimoto. Ryo Mikami is the name of Hajime’s lookalike from eps 29 and 30 of Blade.
