Episode 3: Who Stole the Smile From Her

Saijo, from the Special Cases Unit, finds a mysterious headline: “Monster eats the ghost of a woman at an art gallery”. There have been indeed some disappearances in the area so Shinnosuke and Kiriko are ordered by Chief Honganji to visit the gallery.

Gallery owner Asaya, famous for his paintings of beautiful young women, dismisses the ghost stories as nonsense and instead tries to convince Kiriko to model for him. Suspicious of Asaya, Shinnosuke starts investigating the perimeter when a “Thick Air” event occurs. The Paint Roidmude appears and attacks Kiriko, seemingly disintegrating her into thread. Then, a memory from that dreadful night the Global Freeze occurred returns to Kiriko’s mind.
