Kamen Rider Kabuto To Get Blu-Ray Box Release

Kamen Rider Kabuto To Get Blu-Ray Box Release

Listings on Amazon reveal that the next Kamen Rider series to get the Blu-Ray Box treatment will be 2006’s Kamen Rider Kabuto.

Created for the 35th anniversary of the Kamen Rider Series, Kamen Rider Kabuto was first broadcast in 2006. The series starred Hiro Mizushima (GokusenZettai Kareshi) as Souji Tendo, the self-proclaimed “Man Who Walks The Path of Heaven” as he faces off against the hordes of Worm monsters and the mysterious ZECT organization which has their own secret agenda. Kabuto would be one of the last Rider series with Toei veteran Toshiki Inoue (Jetman, Kamen Rider Agito) writing alongside Shoji Yonemura (Kamen Rider Decade, Smile Precure).

The Kabuto Blu-Ray Boxes, much like the other Rider Series Blu-Ray sets, will be released across three sets. Each Kabuto Blu-Ray Box will house 16 episodes each across three discs and will include 16-page booklets. While the full specs haven’t been revealed as of this writing, the listed special features include cast interviews. Additionally, Box 1 will come with the Televi-kun Hyper Battle DVD special, It’s Born! Gattack Hyper Form. Kabuto’s film, God Speed Love, is not included amongst the sets as it already had a Blu-Ray release with the other Pre-Decade Heisei Rider movies in 2009.

The Kamen Rider Kabuto Blu-Ray Boxes will start being released in Japan on January 9th, 2015, with Set 2 slated for March 13th, 2015. As of this writing, the release date for Box 3 has yet to be revealed.
