Kamen Rider Kikai Revealed for Upcoming Kamen Rider Zi-O Episodes

Another Super Sentai actor makes an appearance in upcoming episodes of Kamen Rider Zi-O as another future Rider. 

In episode 23, “It’s Kikai! 2121”, Sogo has a dream of the year 2121, a future dominated by mechanical lifeforms. He also learns of Rento Makina, who transforms into Kamen Rider Kikai, and encounters a new Another Rider called Another Kikai.

Rento Makina in his civilian form will be played by Jingi Irie, who just recently played the voice and human form of Zamigo Delma in Lupinranger VS Patranger. This continues the show’s trend of casting Super Sentai actors as the future Riders, as seen with Quiz and Shinobi.

Between the name, the role, the episode title and the civilian outfit, the character appears to be an homage to Kikaider, a classic tokusatsu hero created by Kamen Rider creator Shotaro Ishinomori. The actor even played the character in 2014’s Kikaider Reboot.

This upcoming episode will debut on February 17th.
