Carranger’s Yellow Racer, Yuka Motohashi, Passes Away

The actress who portrayed Natsumi Shinohara/Yellow Racer in Gekisou Sentai Carranger has passed away after a battle with cancer.

Yuka Motohashi passed away on May 31st at the age of 46. The actress had previously revealed in 2021 she had been battling a cancer diagnosis and was undergoing treatment.

Motohashi portrayed Natsumi Shinohara/Yellow Racer in Gekisou Sentai Carranger in 1996. Natsumi acted as the team mechanic, and was often at odds with Kyousuke/Red Racer for not taking his role seriously, as well as acting sisterly towards Naoki/Blue Racer. In 2023, Motohashi portrayed the villainous Sonona in the finale episodes of Avataro Sentai Donbrothers.
