Masashi Ikeda Joins The Cast Of Ohsama Sentai King-Ohger
Masashi Ikeda joins the cast of Ohsama Sentai King-Ohger as Jeremie Brassieri/Spider Kumonos.
Actor Masashi Ikeda has officially joined the cast of the latest installment in the Super Sentai series, Ohsama Sentai King-Ohger. The actor was also revealed to have been the narrator of the series since episode 1. Ikeda will portray Jeremie Brassieri/Spider Kumonos, the addiitonal warrior of the team. The actor was also revealed to have been the narrator of the series since episode 1. The character of Jeremie Brassieri is set to debut in episode 11 of King-Ohger., which is set to premiere on May 14, 2023.
Masashi Ikeda recently shared his thoughts on joining the cast of King-Ohger in an interview with Oricon News:
The moment I heard that I was accepted, I was so happy! Surprised! I was stunned and didn’t really feel it. As time went by, I gradually began to feel it. Then, finally, my heart was filled with a sense of elation and anticipation. I was a big fan of Kamen Rider 555 when I was little. I loved watching it so much that I even collected all the transformation belts and other items. As for Super Sentai, I watched Avataro Sentai DonBrothers. I remember how wonderful everyone looked as heroes, and I felt a sense of responsibility that I was going to play such a hero. And since we were from the same office, I got to hear stories from Kohaku Shida, who had appeared in DonBrothers, and she helped me practice my lines. I had a lot of fun practicing with her, and I learned a lot.
Since Jeremie is a “storyteller,” I think he loves to talk and joke around. But there is a cuteness and innocence in him. He is the most pacifistic character of all, hating conflict. Jeremie is a very relaxed person and enjoys talking with people, so I always want to show that kind of charm. And the costume is cool too! When I put on this costume, I get really excited. I have always loved white, and I wear it a lot in my personal clothes, so I am happy to be able to wear this outfit. I wear it every day, thinking, “I never thought I would have a chance to wear such a prince-like costume in my life!” I wear it every day (laughs).
I still have the strange feeling that I am doing the narration in anime and dramas that I usually watch. From now on, I hope that you will listen to my narration thinking, ‘This narration is also Jeremie’s voice!’
I am full of surprised every day (laughs). First of all, I was surprised to shoot in green backgrounds for the first time, and I was also surprised by the action scenes, so I am experiencing new sensations every day. And above all, I was surprised by my own transformation… Everything was a series of “firsts” for me, and I am constantly impressed. When I filmed the transformation scene for the first time, I tried my best to transform while saying to myself, “I am a hero” (laughs). I haven’t seen the finished film yet, so I am looking forward to seeing how it turns out. I was happy to finally be able to transform into the hero I had dreamed of.
The cast are all very friendly and really kind. I was a little anxious because I was joining during the middle of filming, but everyone talked to me and was very friendly, which made me very happy. I hope to get to know them better and better from now on.
I will do my best for a year to make Ohsama Sentai King-Ohger a wonderful work, and to make Jeremy a character loved by everyone. Please look forward to seeing how Jeremie will inspire and influence the story in the future!
