ToQger’s Jun Shison to play Kurama in Yu Yu Hakusho Adaptation

Ressha Sentai ToQger‘s Jun Shison will play Kurama in the upcoming live-action drama adaptation of Yu Yu Hakusho.

Over the weekend of July 16, Netflix revealed visuals for the Yu Yu Hakusho live-action adaptation featuring announced cast members. Notably, Jun Shison (Right / ToQ #1 in Ressha Sentai ToQger) will portray Kurama. Other announced cast includes Takumi Kitamura (Tokyo Revengers, Let Me Eat Your Pancreas) as the titular character Yusuke Urameshi, and Kanata Hongo (Attack on Titan, Fullmetal Alchemist, Gantz) will portray Hiei. Likewise, Shuhei Uesugi (River’s Edge, A.I. Love You) will play Kuwabara.

Yu Yu Hakusho follows the story of 14-year-old delinquent Yusuke Urameshi, who dies after saving a child in a car accident. The Spirit World, surprised by his unforseen death, offers him a chance to come back to life as a Spirit Detective.
