Sae Miyazawa Cast In Ultraman Decker

Tsuburaya Productions announced on May 19, 2022, that Sae Miyazawa has been cast for Ultraman Decker’s GUTS-Select team.

Sae Miyazawa is joining the cast of Ultraman Decker as Sawa Kaizaki, vice-captain of the newly reformed GUTS-Select, and operator of the Nursedessei. Miyazawa has previously acted in Ultraman Saga as Sawa.

Sawa Kaizaki, age 29, is a dependable, sister-like figure to the rest of the GUTS-Select team. She is a leading authority on monsters, holding a doctorate in biology.

“I’m Sae Miyazawa, this time playing the role of Sawa Kaizaki. I’m honored to return to the Ultraman series as ‘Vice-Captain’ after ten years away. With the support of my three young teammates, my dependable seniors, and all the extremely wonderful crew, I’m really enjoying my part in filming this series,” Miyazawa wrote. “I will fully commit to my role to be a cool vice-captain viewers want to support, and gives them the confidence and trust to believe in GUTS-Select, so I hope you’ll support Ultraman Decker to the end.”

Ultraman Decker premieres on July 9, 2022, at 9 a.m. JST on TV Tokyo. Tsuburaya plans to publish updates and information about Ultraman Decker every Thursday at 5 p.m. JST until the show airs.
