Tsuburaya Productions announced on September 14, 2021 that they will release an Andro Melos photo book to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the character’s debut. The book, called Andro Melos Graphics, will include photos from the set of Andro Melos and concept drawings from the 1981 manga. The manga concepts are in the photo book due to a collaboration with Shogakukan and Televi-kun, the weekly manga magazine that Andro Melos was originally published in.
The book also contains an event schedule from the show’s first year and broadcast data from the original airing of the series.
Andro Melos Graphics has 96 pages and will cost 8,800 yen. Tsuburaya will release the photo book via Fukkan starting September 21, 2021. The photo book will not be available internationally. Customers ordering from Fukkan will receive a B4 (257 x 364 mm) sized pinup of Andro Flor at no extra cost.
Andro Melos began as a weekly manga in Televi-kun in 1981 and eventually got a series that ran for one season in 1983. The story followed Andro Melos and his teammates from the Andro Defense Force as they fought against the Gua Army.
Andro Melos appeared in Ultra Galaxy Fight: The Absolute Conspiracy, the character’s first appearance in 37 years.
