4K Restoration of Daimajin Trilogy to Screen at Yokai Tokusatsu Film Festival From July 16th
The recently produced 4K restoration of the Daimajin trilogy will be theatrically screened at the Yokai Tokusatsu Film Festival from July 16th to September 2nd.
A couple of months ago, Kadokawa announced they were creating 4K restorations of the Daimajin trilogy of films. The transfers’ creation has been overseen by Masahiro Miyajima, an assistant cinematographer for Daimajin Strikes Again and Return of Daimajin. A trailer was released on July 14th to promote the upcoming event.
This trilogy of films will be screened for the Yokai Tokusatsu Film Festival to promote the upcoming release of The Great Yokai War: Guardians. The film festival will also feature screenings of the new 4K versions of the Yokai Trilogy, the Showa Gamera series, and numerous others.
This festival event will be held from July 16th at the Kadokawa Cinema Yurakucho from July 16th to September 2nd. Additional screening at the Tokorozawa Sakura Town was also announced to begin from July 23rd.
