Super Sentai Actors Cast In Dinosaur Biyori Anime
Actors from Juken Sentai Gekiranger and Tokumei Sentai Go-Busters will appear in a slice of life anime starring dinosaurs.
Hirofumi Araki (Rio in Juken Sentai Gekiranger) and Sho Jinnai (Enter in Tokumei Sentai Go-Busters) have both been cast in the upcoming slice of life anime, Dinosaur Biyori. This anime from studio Fanworks (previously having worked on Aggretsuko) will follow three dinosaurs living together in a modern-day one-room apartment.
Araki will play Alamosaurus and Quetzalcoatlus, and Jinnai will play Crocodile-senpai and Ankylosaurus. They made the following comments:
“It’s been hard working in voice acting before this, and it’s my first time voicing a dinosaur. And I was surprised to be playing two dinosaurs!
The whole recording process was fun because the characters are cute.”
-Hirofumi Araki
“This show has a very relaxed tone, and recording was similarly relaxed, too.
From small children to adults, I want everyone of all ages to enjoy this.
Why is Wani-senpai called “senpai”? Please look forward to watching the show.”
-Sho Jinnai
The main cast stars:
Yoji Tanaka as Triceratops (Left)
Yutaka Matsushige as Tyrannosaurus (Middle)
Eiji Kotoge as Stenonychosaurus (Right)
Dinosaur Biyori is about three dinosaurs living a relaxing life in a single-room apartment in the Daina-So complex. Together, they’ll spend their time working part-time jobs and eating sweets instead of trying to eat one another as they might have tried to in the past. Even though they’re different species of dinosaur, they can all get along.
The theme song is “Aiso ze!” by rock band Chai, and Akifumi Nonaka is directing. Scripts are by Toru Hosokawa, character designs are by Usagimen, and the music is being composed by CHI-MEY.
Dinosaur Biyori will premiere in Japan on the night of Saturday, April 3rd at 12:57 am (early April 4th) and will air weekly in the same time slot.
