The tokusatsu merchandise roundup for the middle of January 2021 features 2021’s first wave of Acrylic Logo Display EX logos as well as new Kamen Rider and Ultra Series merchandise. 

Acrylic Logo Display EX logos feature the possibilities of various displays, such as displaying with a single item such as a figure or displaying with a collection. It is a new form of display featuring a logo that symbolizes the characters. Each is made of acrylic and has surface processing as well as a thickness of about 10 mm. All come with a pedestal that measures approximately a width of 115 mm x height of 23 mm.

The Acrylic Logo Display EX Kamen Rider Gaim logo measures approximately a width of 114 mm x height of 63 mm.

Journeying to the Kamen Rider world, we first have the Heisei Kamen Rider Transformation Belt Style casual belts (Kuuga-Decade). A gentleman’s belt buckle designed to resemble the transformation belt of the Heisei Kamen Riders. It is a rod-shaped buckle type that inserts the pin on the back of the buckle into the hole to fix it in. You can use it casually with a moderately sized buckle. The belt measures a total length of about 118 cm ( with seven 2.5 cm pitch holes) and width of approx. 35 mm. It can be cut and shortened. Each buckle is made if die-cast and each belt is made of synthetic leather. The Transformation Belt buckles each measures different sizes:

Next, we have the Kamen Rider Kuuga x JAP Kobo Arcle silver925 ring. With the motif of Kamen Rider Kuuga’s Transformation Belt Arcle, the design is meticulously focused on replicating the details of the prop, yet it is also beautiful as a ring and finished in an exquisite balance. It is an item that has been completed by repeating trials and errors many times. In particular, the Linto script seen on the surface is replicated and each letter is carefully engraved with a size that cannot be recognized by the naked eye, making full use of the latest technology and hand skills. In addition, the red clear part that covers the central part is made of natural stone and garnet, cut to a size that fits the Arcle, and the windmill-shaped sculpture inside can be seen through. The ring is made of sterling silver and comes in sizes: No. 17, No. 20, No. 23, and No. 26.

Premium Bandai is also releasing the Kamen Rider Kuuga Red/Gold chronograph wristwatch. To commemorate Kamen Rider Kuuga’s 20th Anniversary, a chronograph wristwatch was made inspired by Kuuga’s Rising Mighty form. It is a design that the gold color scheme shines in red, which is in the image of Rising Mighty form. The outside of the dial is decorated with gold, which is the image of the back of Kuuga’s hand and the black color scheme in the center of the dial gives a sense of luxury.
Linto script is used for the index (number part) of the dial. At 12 o’clock, a red stone with the image of an “O-signal” is placed, and at 6 o’clock, a yellow stone with the image of the Arcle is placed. In addition, the chronograph second meter (6 o’clock position) is engraved with the Linto script that translates to “time”. The band uses high-quality cowhide kip and finishes with the skillful technique of craftsmen. Each piece of leather is carefully hand-polished, and you can enjoy the beautiful gradation that appears as you use it. The case, back cover, and crown are made of stainless steel. The dial and hands are made of brass. The windshield is made of mineral glass. The band is made of cowhide (lining / synthetic leather) and the machine used is the TMI VD53 (Japanese quartz). To commemorate the 20th anniversary of Kuuga, the Kamen Rider Kuuga JAP Kobo Belt Yusuke Godai Model is being released. This is the second collaboration project with JAP Kobo, which creates unique silver jewelry and also handles costumes for movies and musicians. In the TV series, Yusuke Godai models a buckle with the Kuuga mark that he creates himself, making it a belt that can be used every day. The buckle part is carefully engraved with the Kuuga mark, giving a wild finish and the concave part is inked. It is designed so that the mark stands out. The belt is made with attention to detail. In addition, high quality thick genuine leather is used for the belt part. The buckle is made of brass plate while the belt part is made of cowhide. The belt comes in sizes: S (belt leather part length: about 90 cm (waist 70 cm to 80 cm)), M (belt leather part length: about 100 cm (waist 80 cm to 90 cm)), and L (belt leather part length: approx. 110 cm (waist 90 cm to 100 cm)). Fast-forwarding 10 years, we have the Kamen Rider Decade Decadriver Live Action Watch. From the special effects character watch series “LIVE ACTION WATCH”, this is a watch that imitates the transformation belt “Decadriver” from the 10th Heisei Kamen Rider series, Kamen Rider Decade. The design is particular about the details, with the image of Decade’s transformation belt. When you press the button on the side, the pink LED that’s highlighted when transforming will light up.
The same Rider symbols as found on the transformation belt is printed, and green transparent parts are used at 9 o’clock. Since it is close to the original shape of the belt, it feels as heavy as a wristwatch. It is a voluminous wristwatch with a strong presence, designed to be enjoyed by adults. Going into the world of OOO, we have the Kamen Rider OOO Broken Taka Medal ladies watch. It is a wristwatch with a simple design that is embossed with the “broken Taka Medal” seen in the TV series. The contrast between the bright red face and the black leather is clear. The watch body measures a length of 42 mm x width of 38 mm x height of 8 mm (including crown). Soaring into the Ultra Series, we first have the Ultraman Mebius CREW GUYS genuine leather wallets and cases. Each features the defense team, CREW GUYS, that appear in the Ultraman Mebius TV series which is combined with the colored leather. The CREW GUYS mark is included at one point on each item. The inner surface of each is woven with a flame mark designed in the image of Mebius. Each has a body made from cowhide and the fabric made of polyester. In addition, the elements of Mirror Knight, Jumbot, Glenfire, and Jean Nine were packed in the 1 to 6 o’clock position. The in-dial at 6 o’clock expresses the silhouette of the mighty base by carving and it is a watch packed with the world view of Ultimate Force Zero in various places. Turning back time to the Showa era, we have the Ultraman SSSP (Science Special Search-Party) and Ultra Seven Ultra Guard flasks. Each is a stainless steel flask designed with the mark of their respective origanizations. It fits in the butt pocket of jeans and has a capacity of 6 ounces (about 170 ml). Each flask is a container that can be taken outdoors with distilled liquor with high alcohol content such as whiskey. The rhoto is included and do not put in beverages other than whiskey, which has a high alcohol content and does not allow germs to grow. Each flask measures approx. width of 93 mm x height of 107 mm. The capacity is 6 ounces (approx. 170 ml ). Each is made of stainless steel which is packaged in a PP bag.
