This Week in Tokusatsu Merchandise 11/02/20 – 11/06/20

The tokusatsu merchandise roundup for the first week of November features new items from Kamen Rider, Super Sentai, and Ultraman. 

To start off the Kamen Rider category, we first have the Kamen Rider No.1 pocket watch. The main body is a bitter antique style that makes use of the dull and shining alloy texture, the lid is engraved with the image of Kamen Rider No. 1, and the back side is engraved with the “Kamen Rider” logo. Kamen Rider No. 1 is drawn on the board with a silver silhouette on a green background. It comes with a chain measuring about 38 cm. The pocket watch is made of alloy and PMMA. The chain is made of iron. It measures approximately 60 mm x 60 mm x 18 mm in height.

The Kamen Rider No.1 pocket watch from Kamen Rider will go for 13,200 Yen (tax included) and is scheduled for shipment in April 2021. Preorders are being accepted today.

Entering the arena, we have the first item in the Super Sentai category. The Juken Sentai Gekiranger SCRTC socks. The socks feature the SCRTC logo found on all their sports products and the Gekiranger suits/gear. They are available in two colors: black and white. The socks are also available in two sizes: Men (measuring 25 cm to 27 cm) and Women (measuring 23 cm to 25 cm). They are made of cotton, acrylic nylon, and polyester.

The Juken Sentai Gekiranger SCRTC socks from Juken Sentai Gekiranger goes for 1,430 Yen (tax included) and are available now.

Alongside the Gekiranger socks, Premium Bandai is also releasing Kishiryu Sentai Ryusoulger x Masato Hisa “Kleon 0 Points” socks. These socks are illustrated by Masato Hisa, who was in charge of the monster design for Kishiryu Sentai Ryusoulger. It features Kleon’s 0-point pattern seen in the TV series. They are available in two colors: black and white. The socks are also available in two sizes: Men (measuring 25 cm to 27 cm) and Women (measuring 23 cm to 25 cm). They are made of cotton, acrylic nylon, and polyester.

The Kishiryu Sentai Ryusoulger x Masato Hisa “Kleon 0 Points” socks from Kishiryu Sentai Ryusoulger goes for 1,430 Yen (tax included) and are available now.

Kicking it back to the Ultra Series, we first have the Ultraman team member jackets line featuring: the Ultraman Cosmos “TEAM EYES” member jacket, the Ultraman Dyna “Super GUTS” member jacket, the Ultraman Gaia “XIG” member jacket, and the Ultraman Tiga “GUTS” member jacket. All jackets are made of synthetic leather and have the lining made of 100% polyester. All also come in sizes: M (Length: 56 cm, Shoulder width: 47.5 cm, Bust: 107 cm, Hem circumference: 101 cm, Sleeve length: 62.5cm), L (Length: 58.5 cm, Shoulder width: 49 cm, Bust: 113 cm, Hem circumference: 107 cm, Sleeve length: 64 cm), and XL (Length: 61 cm, Shoulder width: 50.5 cm, Bust: 119 cm, Hem circumference: 113 cm, Sleeve length: 65.5 cm). The length is short for tall the jackets.

The Ultraman Cosmos “TEAM EYES” member jacket features the member jacket of “TEAM EYES” from “Ultraman Cosmos”.
It is made of synthetic leather with the details of the member jacket from the TV series. The length is short.

The Ultraman Dyna “Super GUTS” member jacket features the member jacket of “Super GUTS” from the Ultraman Dyna TV series.

The Ultraman Gaia “XIG” member jacket features the member jacket of “XIG” from the Ultraman Gaia TV series.

The Ultraman Tiga “GUTS” member jacket features the member jacket of “GUTS” from the Ultraman Tiga TV series.

All four Ultraman team member jackets will go for 29,700 Yen (tax included) each and are scheduled for shipment in February 2021. Preorders are being accepted today.

To go with the Ultraman Cosmos “TEAM EYES” member jacket, Premium Bandai is releasing the Ultraman Cosmos Pyroxene pendant. The pendant has a pyroxene motif and which Musashi was entrusted with by Cosmos as a sign of friendship in the TV series. The pendant measures approximately 35 mm x 23 mm x 12 mm while the string measures a length of approximately 70 cm (with adjustment beads). It is made of resin, brass plating, and low drawstring.

The Ultraman Cosmos Pyroxene pendant from Ultraman Cosmos will go for 6,600 Yen (tax included) and is scheduled for shipment in February 2021. Preorders are being accepted today.

Next, we have the Ultraman Orb t-shirts. Both have a small print as well as a casually simple and chic design. They are made of 100% cotton and come in sizes: S (US XS), M (US S), L (US M), and XL (US L).

The Ultraman Orb Gai Kurenai t-shirt features the Orb light on the front as well as the words “GAI KURENAI” and “ULTRAMAN ORB”. The back features Ultraman Orb carrying the Orbcalibur and the words “raman Orb”.

The Ultraman Orb Jugglus Juggler t-shirt features the moon designed on the front in red as well as the words “JUGGLUS JUGGLER” and “ULTRAMAN ORB”. The back features Jugglus Juggler carrying his Jashin Blade and the words “Jugglus Juggler”.

The Ultraman Orb Gai Kurenai t-shirt and the Ultraman Orb Jugglus Juggler t-shirt from Ultraman Orb will go for 3,300 Yen (tax included) each and are scheduled for shipment in December 2020. Preorders are being accepted today.

Following the Ultraman Orb t-shirts, we have the Ultraman Z t-shirts. Both have chibi-style versions of the Special Aircrafts from the Ultraman Z TV series. They are made of 100% cotton and come in sizes: M (US S), L (US M), and XL (US L).

The Ultraman Z chibi-style Special Aircraft No. 1, No. 2, and No. 3 lined pattern t-shirt features Sevenger, Windom, and King Joe STORAGE Custom.

The Ultraman Z chibi-style Special Aircraft No. 2 Windom pattern t-shirt features Windom alongside the words “WINDOM” and “GLOBAL ALLIED FORCES JAPAN STORAGE”.

The Ultraman Z chibi-style Special Aircraft No. 1, No. 2, and No. 3 lined pattern t-shirt and the Ultraman Z chibi-style Special Aircraft No. 2 Windom pattern t-shirt from Ultraman Z will go for 3,300 Yen (tax included) each and are scheduled for shipment in December 2020. In collaboration with jewelry brand, haraKIRI, Premium Bandai is releasing the Ultraman Z x haraKIRI Sevenger silver925 ring. The ring features the characteristic facial expressions of Sevenger and is designed to face the front when worn. The prototype is a hand-made wax prototype designed by haraKIRI, and the charm of Sevenger is fully expressed. It is a large ring with a strong unique presence. The back side is engraved with copyright. The ring is made of silver925 and comes in sizes: No. 15, No. 17, No. 19, No. 21, No. 23, No. 25, and No. 27.

The Ultraman Z x haraKIRI Sevenger silver925 ring from Ultraman Z will go for 29,700 Yen (tax included) and is scheduled for shipment in February 2021. Preorders are being accepted starting November 6, 2020, at 11:00 JST.

Bringing the Ultra Series together, we have the Ultraman New Generation Heroes PIICA + Clear Pass Case (10 random types). This is the first collaboration between the “New Generation Heroes”, a new generation of Ultra Hero, and PIICA. Each card catches radio waves and shines when you hold it over your IC card. There’s built-in LED in each card so no batteries are required. The PIICA main body has a luxurious design that shines the personal color and color timer of each character. Cards available include: Zero, Ginga, Victory, X, Orb, Geed, Rosso, Blu, Taiga, and Z. One of the 10 kinds available will be delivered at random.

This “PIICA (R) Pika (R)” emits light when it is held over a non-contact type IC card reader. It can be used with transportation IC cards (automatic ticket gates), electronic money IC cards (electronic money payment machines such as convenience stores and vending machines), and ID cards (ID check machines). The method of light emission may vary depending on the machine.
Please read the following notes before use:

• Be sure to insert only the electronic money IC card into the machine when inserting the card into the device due to transportation system, cash charge or renewal of commuter pass.
• Please do not insert this card (shining card) into the machine as it may cause a malfunction.
• This product can be used only with a non-contact type IC card reader.
• If you sandwich a metal plate between this product and the reader, it will not emit light.
• It may be difficult to see the light emitting part under direct sunlight or strong lighting.

Each PIICA card measures approx. 53.5 mm x 85 mm x 1.2 mm while the clear pass case measures approx. 59.7 mm x 101.5 mm x 4 mm, and the dress-up card measures approx. 53.5 mm x 85 mm. The cards/passes are made of three LED bulbs, PC, PET, and paper.

The Ultraman New Generation Heroes PIICA + Clear Pass Case (10 random types) will go for 1,650 Yen (tax included) each and are scheduled for shipment in December 2020. Preorders are being accepted starting November 6, 2020, at 11:00 JST until November 23rd, 2020 at 23:00 JST.

Going back to the Showa era, we have the Ultra Q M1 t-shirt. The shirt features the man-made artificial lifeform who debuted in Ultra Q Episode 10 “The Underground Super Express Goes West”. It has vivid colors and impact as well as pays homage to its first words: “I am Seagull”. The shirt is made of 100% cotton and comes in sizes: S (US XS), M (US S), L (US M), and XL (US L).

The Ultra Q M1 t-shirt from Ultra Q will go for 4,180 Yen (tax included) and is scheduled for shipment in January 2021. Preorders are being accepted starting November 6, 2020, at 10:00 JST until December 14, 2020, at 23:00 JST.
