This Week in Tokusatsu Merchandise 10/5/20 – 10/9/20

The tokusatsu merchandise roundup for this week in October features Kamen Rider watches, shirts, towels, as well as Ultraman Z Sevenger merchandise and more. 

The Kamen Rider series category starts off with the Kamen Rider Zero-One wristwatch (Is ver.). The watch features a design inspired by Is’ Humagear Secretary uniform from the TV series. Her iconic barcode is printed on the back. The watch body measures approximately 42 mm width x 44 mm length x 11 mm thickness while the band width measures 20 mm and the applicable size is 12.0 to 20.0 cm. The case, back cover, crown, and buckle are made of stainless steel. The band is made of polyester. The dial and hands are made of brass. The windshield is made of mineral glass and the machine used is the MIYOTA 6P09 (Quartz Made in Japan). It is 10 ATM water-resistant.

The Kamen Rider Zero-One wristwatch (Is ver.) from Kamen Rider Zero-One will go for 16,500 Yen (tax included) and is scheduled for shipment in March 2021. Preorders are being accepted starting October 5, 2020, at 11:00 JST until November 1, 2020, at 23:00 JST.

The next in this category are the Kamen Rider Series x Yokatta PLUS x Haruyama Eye shirts (feat. Zero-One, Decade, Kuuga). These special Kamen Rider Series shirts use recycled materials made from PET bottles. The highly functional Haruyama i-shirt and the ethical brand Yoccatta +, which handles products using recycled materials, have teamed up with the Kamen Rider Series. The shirt designs available include: Kamen Rider Zero One, Is, Kamen Rider Decade, and Kamen Rider Kuuga (gold). It is organized in basic colors so that office workers can wear it daily. When worn, the collar and sleeve lining are all marked with a color scheme. The Kamen Rider marks are embroidered under the back of the collar. In addition to the standard white-collar, the shirts are also available in a cool and chic black. You can wear it in casual scenarios. The shirts dry quickly and don’t require ironing. They absorb water, dries quickly, has good breathability, and stretches well. The shirts are made of 100% polyester and come in sizes: M (US S), L (US M), and XL (US L).

The Kamen Rider Series x Yokatta PLUS x Haruyama Eye shirts (feat. Zero-One, Decade, Kuuga) will go for 6,710 Yen (tax included) each and are available now.

Traveling all the way to the Northern Base, we have the Kamen Rider Saber Sword of Logos folding container. This container features the box in which Sword of Logos mechanic, Tetsuo Daishinji mainly holds maintenance equipment for Kamen Riders Saber, Blades, and Espada. It is now designed as a folding container. It has a large capacity of about 50L that can accommodate A3 size with plenty of room. The actual size of the bottom is 493 mm x 335 mm, and A3 size can be stored.

You can store important goods and books. It is equipped with open/close lock function and processed to prevent dust from entering from the outside and the contents from popping out. When folded, it can be folded to a height of 95 mm and stacked so it does not take up space for storage when not in use. The container is made of PP + LDPE (handle cover part). The outer dimensions measure 530 mm x 366 mm x 334 mm (95 mm folded). The inner dimensions measure 494 mm x 336 mm x 303 mm. The effective inner dimensions measure 493 mm × 335 mm × 303 mm.

The Kamen Rider Saber Sword of Logos folding container from Kamen Rider Saber will go for 7,150 Yen (tax included) and is scheduled for shipment in January 2021. Preorders are being accepted today.

Going back to the Show era, we have the Kamen Rider Series chronograph Live Action watches (feat. No. 1, X, and Stronger). These chronograph wristwatches are designed with the motif of the transformation belts of Kamen Rider No. 1, Kamen Rider X, and Kamen Rider Stronger. When the chronograph function is used, the 1/10 second chronograph second hand located at 12 o’clock starts to move and rotates just like their actual belts. The watch body measures a width of 43 mm x length of 50 mm. The band width measures 22 mm and the band adaptation size is approximately 13.5 cm to 21.0 cm. The case, band, crown, and back cover are made of stainless steel. The hands and dial are made of brass and the windshield is made of mineral glass. The machine used for all three is the TIME MODULE VD57LLA (Quartz Made in Japan). All are 10 ATM water-resistant.

The Kamen Rider Series chronograph Live Action watches (feat. No. 1, X, and Stronger) will go for 27,500 Yen (tax included) each and are available now.

The Yoshihito Sugahara Project is once again collaborating with Kamen Rider to bring the Kamen Rider No. 1 and Kamen Rider Den-O/Imagin bath towels. Each towel measures approx. a height of 59 cm x width of 119 cm. The front of each is made of 100% polyester and the back is made of 100% cotton.

The Kamen Rider No.1 bath towel features Kamen Rider No.1 riding his iconic Cyclone. The top says “MASKED RIDER 1”. Below it is printed: “Masked Rider- Takeshi Hongo is a cyborg. “SHOCKER” is the secret society that plots to conquer the world. To fight the evil is the destiny of Masked Rider.”

The Kamen Rider Den-O/Imagin bath towel features Momotaros, Urataros, Kintaros, Ryutaros, Deneb, and Sieg. On the left is printed “MASKED RIDER DEN-O” as well as “Momotaros Imagine Urataros Imagine Kintaros Imagine Ryutaros Imagine Sieg Imagine Deneb Imagine”.

The Yoshihito Sugahara Project Kamen Rider No.1 and Kamen Rider Den-O/Imagin bath towels will go for 4,400 Yen (tax included) each and are scheduled for shipment in December 2020.

Entering the stage is the Ultra Series category. First up is the ULTRA STYLE Men’s collection that includes a t-shirt, a sweatshirt, and a hoodie. All three are made of 100% cotton and come in sizes: M (US S), L (US M), and XL (US L).

The ULTRA STYLE short sleeve t-shirt features Ultraman Tiga, Ultraman Dyna, and Ultraman Gaia on the back as well as their names in yellow. The words “ULTRA STYLE” are placed on the right. It is available in two colors: navy and red. The ULTRA STYLE short sleeve t-shirt will go for 3,850 Yen (tax included).

The ULTRA STYLE sweatshirt features chibi-style versions of Ultraman Tiga, Ultraman Dyna, and Ultraman Gaia posing inside of a circle with “ULTRA STYLE” printed on the outside and on the back. It is available in two colors: charcoal gray and navy. The ULTRA STYLE sweatshirt will go for 5,500 Yen (tax included).

The ULTRA STYLE hoodie features Special Airborne Armor 2 (SAA-2)/Capsule Monster Windom from Ultraseven. His name is printed below his image. One sleeve has “ULTRASEVEN” printed on it It is available in two colors: black and heather gray. The ULTRA STYLE hoodie will go for 6,050 Yen (tax included).

Following the Men’s collection, we have the ULTRA STYLE Kids collection that also includes: a short sleeve t-shirt, a sweatshirt, and a hoodie. All three are made of 100% cotton and come in sizes: 110 cm (length: 45 cm, width: 35 cm, shoulder width: 31 cm, and sleeve length: 13 cm), 120 cm (length: 47 cm, width: 37 cm, shoulder width: 33 cm, sleeve length: 14 cm), and 130 cm (length: 49 cm, width: 39 cm, shoulder width: 35 cm, sleeve length: 15 cm).

The ULTRA STYLE Kids short sleeve t-shirt features “ULTRA STYLE” on the front and Ultraman Z Gamma Future form with “ULTRA STYLE” to the right of him and his name on the back. The ULTRA STYLE Kids sweatshirt features Ultraman Z’s Alpha Edge, Beta Smash, and Gamma Future designed on the front, and the “ULTRA STYLE” logo is on the back. The sleeves are also embroidered with the “ULTRA STYLE” logo. It is available in two colors: charcoal gray and navy. The ULTRA STYLE Kids sweatshirt will go for 4,400 Yen (tax included).

The ULTRA STYLE Kids hoodie features Special Airborne Armor 1 Sevenger designed on the front, and Ultra Seven and ULTRA STYLE logo are printed on the sleeves. It is available in two colors: black and heather gray. The ULTRA STYLE Kids hoodie will go for 4,950 Yen (tax included).

Moving onto the most recent installment in the Ultra Series, Ultraman Z, first we have the Ultraman Z color-coded bracelet. With a sophisticated design, it is easy to match with various fashions and can be used in daily life. This red/blue bracelet features the “Z” from the Ultraman Z logo as well as a clear Swarovski crystal. It is made of alloy, brass, Swarovski (R) crystal, and polyester. The bracelet measures a total length of approx. 150 mm (including chain) + 30 mm for the adjuster.  The charm part measures approx. 10 mm. The Ultraman Z color-coded bracelet will go for 2,750 Yen (tax included).

After, there’s the Ultraman Z silver925 ring. It is an authentic fashion ring made of 925 silver with the motif of Ultraman Z’s color timer. It is made of silver925 and rhodium-plated resin. The ring comes in sizes: No. 13, No. 15, No. 17, No. 19, No. 21, and No. 23 (odd size development). The Ultraman Z silver925 ring will go for 11,000 Yen (tax included).

To pair with the ring, Premium Bandai is also releasing the Ultraman Z silver925 Sevenger necklace. It is an authentic fashion necklace made of silver925 with the motif of Ultraman Z’s Sevenger. The details such as colors are expressed, and it is a gem with condensed craftsmanship. The chain measures a total length of 45 cm + 5 cm for the adjuster. The charm measures approx. height of 2.4 cm x approx. width of 1.2 cm x approx. diameter of 0.8 cm. It is made of silver925. The Ultraman Z silver925 Sevenger necklace will go for 11,000 Yen (tax included).

Ultraman Z’s Special Airborne Armor 1 (SAA-1) Sevenger is getting a special line of merchandise including a purse, die-cut cushion, acrylic stand, rubber keychain, and mascot keychain.

The Ultraman Z Sevenger purse is a drawstring purse that makes it easy to put small items. It is made of polyester and measures approx. width of 145 mm × height of 200 mm. The Ultraman Z Sevenger purse will go for 1,210 Yen (tax included).

The Ultraman Z Sevenger die-cut cushion is a cute cushion that you can hold or decorate. It is made of 100% polyester and measures approx. width of 260 mm × height of 440 mm. The Ultraman Z Sevenger die-cut cushion will go for 2,750 Yen (tax included).

The Ultraman Z Sevenger acrylic stand is a cute acrylic stand to decorate. The character part measures about 116 mm height × 94 mm width while the pedestal part measures about 60 mm. It is made of acrylic. The Ultraman Z Sevenger acrylic stand will go for 1,100 Yen (tax included).
