Kaichu: A Kaiju Dating Sim Currently Funding On Kickstarter
Fundraising has began for the indie tokusatsu game that gives kaiju monsters a chance at love.
Help the monsters find love among one another by backing this new indie dating simulator. Kaichu: Kaiju Dating Sim was created by Squiddershins (Jason Boyer and Ryan Pietz) and promises to deliver heartfelt and bombastic love stories between everyone’s favorite types of kaiju.
The proudest feature of the dating sim is that it features no communication between the kaiju, which keeps the authenticity intact that kaiju are forces of nature that rarely speak. Stories will instead unravel through the interpretation that bystanders and experts have. You will have to look out for signs in the pair’s behavior to determine how they feel about one another. Several unique kaiju characters ranging from a giant turtle, a moth, and even a fungus.
By backing the campaign, a wide array of tiers carry perks depending on how much you give to the project. Tier perks will range from digital artwork, physical merchandise, and some rewards give you the chance to have your own kaiju persona drawn in the style of the game’s artist, Jason Boyer. The campaign’s goal is $10,000 and is available for backing until March 15th.
